Inning Dates
This is where Speed Dating meets Minor
League Baseball!
How do Inning Dates work? Inning Dates events take place at selected weekday evening games. When you arrive and check in at the event you'll be admitted to the area where our group is seated. Before the game you'll have opportunity to mix and mingle with all the other singles in attendance and to play a few ice breaker games, if time permits. Just before the baseball game begins, we'll move to our seats in the stands sitting in pairs (boy-girl-boy-girl, etc.) to enable you to interact throughout the inning. As each inning concludes and the teams wrap up their play on the field, we conclude ours in the stands. As directed by the facilitator, participants move on to their next pairing (introduction) marking their scorecard as to whether or not they regard the person with whom they were just previously seated as someone they'd like to follow up with and possibly meet again. As with all our events, within several days, we'll email you contact info for all those with whom you've "matched." That means that we supply contact info to the parties only if both individuals agree to the exchange. How do Inning Dates events differ from regular speed dating events? Inning Dates events differ from
traditional ones in that they are set in a ballpark and their structure is
tied to the structure of a baseball game. Participants are paired for the
duration of an inning - however long or short that may be.
With most games running nine innings (or more), you'll make even more introductions than with our traditional speed dating events. How much does it cost to attend an Inning Dates event? What's included?
For Pawtucket only, the total you'll pay us (a single online PayPal transaction) will be speed dating admission plus the cost of your game ticket and any applicable tax. There's such a demand for Pawtucket tickets that we must close registration and purchase game tickets well in advance in order to be assured seating. How many introductions can I expect to make? You can expect as many rounds of
Inning Dates as there are
innings to the game. Yes, that's right! That means you'll likely make nine
or more introductions just in the course of your matching rounds. And, since
there's always some socializing before and after the game, that too is an
opportunity for you to connect with others on your own. That works out to just a
little more than three dollars per intro. Those expensive matchmaking services
just can't compare to this. Why pay them hundreds or thousands of dollars for a
few introductions, when
How do I sign up? Please follow this link which will bring you to our state calendars. Select the state where you wish to attend. Remember that as with all our events, you must sign up and pay in advance. Because our events depend upon equal numbers of men and women to facilitate our match rounds, we CANNOT accept walk-in's who just show up at the gate on game day.* Please be advised that in order to maintain matching balances, it may mean that we must cut off registrations for either sex in advance of our normal deadline. For example, once our guy count reaches 25 or whatever count is an event's limit, registrations for guys close even though women can still register (till their count also reaches 25). *If you show up on game day without proper documentation proving prior registration and payment, we'll direct you to the team's box office where you may still be able to purchase a game ticket (only). However, you'll not be able to sit with our group nor participate in any of our activities. |
