Eventually even the most well meaning friends and relatives run out of Mr or Ms Wonderful’s to introduce you to. Recently, my new bank manager, upon learning that I run speed dating events, told me that she could think of several people whom she’d like to refer.  But she admitted to me that she didn’t know if they’d do it for themselves. I reassured her that though her heart’s in  the right place, as grown-ups, it is their own responsibility to follow through.

As we say at Inning Dates, “If you don’t step up to the plate and take a swing at the pitch, you can’t hit one out of the park!”
